API Integration

What is API Integration?

API integration is the process of connecting an application with another software system or external service through an API. It allows mobile apps to exchange data and use functionality provided by third-party platforms, such as payment processing, CRM systems, maps, booking services, analytics tools, or external databases. In an app builder, API integration can extend the functionality of an application without requiring every feature to be developed from scratch.

Why it matters

API integrations allow businesses to connect a mobile app with the tools and services they already use. This can automate data exchange, reduce manual work, and make it possible to add advanced functionality to an app faster. For no-code app development, API integrations are especially useful because they help connect ready-made app features with external business systems while reducing the need for custom development.

Example

A company creates a mobile booking app and connects it through an API to an existing CRM system. When a customer makes a booking in the mobile додаток, the booking information is automatically transferred to the CRM, where the business can manage the customer and continue communication without entering the same data manually.
