Responsive Design

What is Responsive Design?

Responsive design is an approach to interface design in which layouts and interface elements adjust to different screen sizes and device characteristics. It helps ensure that content remains readable, navigation stays convenient, and interface components are displayed appropriately across smartphones, tablets, and other screen formats.

Why it matters

Mobile devices vary significantly in screen size, resolution, and proportions. Responsive design helps create a consistent user experience without designing an entirely separate interface for every possible device. For a mobile app builder, responsive behavior is especially important because users can create an application visually while the resulting interface needs to work correctly across different supported devices.

Example

A business creates a mobile app containing images, text, buttons, and service cards. Responsive design allows these interface elements to adjust to different screen sizes so that the application remains easy to use on both smaller and larger smartphones.
