Bug Testing

What is Bug Testing?

Bug testing is the process of checking an application for errors, defects, or unexpected behavior that can affect its functionality or user experience. It involves testing different features, screens, actions, and user scenarios to identify problems before or after an app is released.

Why it matters

Bug testing helps ensure that a mobile app works as expected across its main features and user flows. Finding issues before publishing an application can prevent problems for users and reduce the need for urgent fixes after release. Testing is also important after app updates or changes because new functionality can introduce unexpected errors.

Example

Before publishing a mobile app, a company tests registration, navigation, booking, payments, and other key features. During testing, the team discovers that a booking is not saved correctly in one scenario, fixes the issue, and tests the process again before release.
